Metal frame partitions

Metal stud partitions, shaft walls and wall linings built to the fire and acoustic ratings in your specification.

Rows of galvanised metal stud framing for internal partitions on a commercial site before boarding

Internal partitions on commercial and residential projects are almost always metal stud. We set out, frame, insulate and board them to the rating each wall needs.

Built to the rating

The wall type schedule drives everything: stud gauge and centres, the number of board layers, the board type and the insulation in the cavity. A corridor wall, a flat-separating wall and a plant room wall are three different builds, and we price and build each one as specified rather than defaulting to one system across the job.

Shaft walls and linings

Where a partition can only be built from one side, around lift shafts, risers and stairwells, we install shaft wall systems. For walls that need a new face rather than a new structure, we build independent wall linings or, where the substrate allows, dot and dab board directly.

Deflection heads and details

Head details, deflection allowances, fire stopping at junctions and pattresses for fixings are all part of the package. Getting these right at first fix saves the main contractor from opening walls up later.

What we need to price it

Partition layouts, the wall type schedule with fire and acoustic ratings, and the structural engineer's deflection criteria if you have them. We can also work from a scope and a site visit if the drawings are still moving.
